Vendor Agreement

This agreement applies to every business that lists on EventNaija. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and sets the standards clients can expect from you.

Last updated 5 August 2026

1. Listing eligibility

  • You operate a genuine event-services business in Nigeria and can evidence trading history or registration.
  • You own the rights to every image, video and description you upload.
  • You can provide at least two contactable client references on request.
  • You hold any licence, permit or insurance your service category legally requires.

2. Accuracy of your profile

Pricing, packages, service areas, capacity and availability must be current and truthful. Starting prices must reflect a package a client can actually book, exclusive of any charge you would not disclose before booking.

Update or pause your listing when you are fully booked or no longer offering a service.

3. Service standards

  • Respond to enquiries within 24 hours, and mark yourself unavailable when you cannot.
  • Give clients a written quote with a clear scope, deposit and cancellation policy before taking payment.
  • Turn up on time, deliver what was quoted, and communicate any change as early as possible.
  • Treat clients, guests and fellow vendors professionally at all times.

4. Verification

To earn a verified badge you must submit business registration details, proof of portfolio ownership and references. We may re-verify at any time and will remove the badge if information becomes inaccurate or a pattern of complaints emerges.

5. Reviews

Reviews are written by clients and are not edited by us. You may reply publicly once to any review. Soliciting fake reviews, incentivising ratings or pressuring a client to remove feedback is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.

6. Membership and fees

Listing on the Free plan costs nothing. Pro and Premium memberships are billed in advance for the term you select and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel before the next renewal date; fees already paid for the current term are non-refundable.

EventNaija does not take a commission on your bookings.

7. Payments and disputes with clients

You contract directly with the client and are solely responsible for delivery, refunds and any dispute that arises. EventNaija may mediate informally but is not a party to your contract.

8. Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove a listing for misrepresentation, repeated non-response, no-shows, unsafe conduct, unlawful activity, or a sustained pattern of unresolved complaints. Where practical we give notice and a chance to respond.

9. Data and confidentiality

Client details shared through an enquiry may be used only to quote and deliver that event. You must not add clients to marketing lists without their consent or pass their details to third parties.

10. Changes and governing law

We will give notice of material changes to this agreement before they take effect. It is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
