1. Who we are

EventNaija ("EventNaija", "we", "us") operates an online marketplace that helps clients in Nigeria discover, compare and contact event planners, decorators, caterers, photographers, venues and other event professionals ("Vendors").

EventNaija is a discovery and introduction platform. We are not a party to any contract you enter into with a Vendor, and we do not plan, supply or deliver event services ourselves.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts to use EventNaija. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials confidential.

You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We may suspend or close accounts that we reasonably believe are fraudulent, abusive or in breach of these terms.

3. Using the marketplace

Clients may search listings, request quotes, save inspiration and compare Vendors free of charge. Vendors may list their business under the plan they select.

You agree not to scrape the platform, misrepresent your identity, post unlawful or misleading content, circumvent our systems, or use EventNaija to harass any user.

4. Bookings, quotes and payments

Quotes, prices and availability are set by Vendors and may change. Any booking, deposit, cancellation term or refund is agreed directly between you and the Vendor.

EventNaija does not currently process payments between clients and Vendors. Never send money to anyone who asks you to move off-platform before you have verified their business details.

5. Reviews and content

Reviews must describe a genuine experience. We remove reviews that are fabricated, incentivised, defamatory or contain personal data about third parties.

You keep ownership of the photos, descriptions and reviews you upload, and grant EventNaija a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, resize and promote that content on the platform and in our marketing.

6. Verification

A verified badge means we have reviewed a Vendor's business registration, portfolio ownership and client references at a point in time. It is not a guarantee of performance, quality or availability, and you remain responsible for your own due diligence.

7. Liability

EventNaija is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any act, omission, delay or non-performance by a Vendor or a client.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud.

8. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where required by law, or where continued access poses a risk to other users.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the platform develops. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email before they take effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
